After a straight forward career in ballet, my path took an unexpected turn when I was invited by Dance Exchange Birmingham to get mentored by Peter Bonham (Le Groupe Dance Lab, Canada) in a choreolab. He introduced me to postmodern thinking.

How to install movement?

This re-orientation in my approach to choreography comes from the Visual art and Dance BA in Brighton University concieved by Liz Agiss. I never took the course, but the conversations I had with her while living in Brighton changed everything for me as how to make work.

Another profound inspiration came by working with Lisa Nelson’s Tuning Scores.

I had the great luck to be invited into a 3 year research called “body of truth” by former Image Lab members Charlie Morrisey, KJ Holmes and Scott Smith in Brighton.

And eventually working with Lisa Nelson herself.
